Psalm 8

I got up the other morning early as I usually do and I was singing the song from these verses. "How excellent is your name in all the earth!"

All the way to work I sang and rejoiced in God's word. So when I got to church Wednesday night I used this passage of scripture to start off a great mid week service. God has been good to us!

I began to think about the words and what they really meant. It is like when a student in school gets a test back from a teacher and the teacher writes an "A" on the test and then they write in a big flourish "Excellent!"

I thought about Jesus when we had a problem and he helped us like when we did not know how we could pay a bill and someone ask how did the Lord do in taking care of that problem? Our grade would be Excellent!

Or when we got a bad report from the doctor, then later some one would ask how about that situation? How did God do with that sickness? Our response would be Excellent!

Hey if God is on our side who can stand against us?! Whose report will you believe? I will believe the report of the Lord! For he is Excellent in all the earth!

Webster defines excellent as very good or first class. Jesus is perfect in all his ways. I am glad I know Him, but more importantly I am glad He knows me. O how excellent is his name in all the earth!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter Singspiration today! It was a very good time of worship and praise! The spirit of God was there and we had a church full of visitors.

I just have not even been able to log on to my blog so I went around to the back door and figured out how to get in another way! I will try to update with some pictures from today and more information later.

My prayer is that God moved in a miraculous way in your service today as you celebrated the resurrection of Christ!!

Pastor Appreciation - Rev. Wayne Trout

Several weeks ago the ministry team here at Truth & Life Center in North East MD came up with this idea of Pastor Appreciation.

We set aside the whole month to do different things for Pastor Wayne Trout each Sunday. A couple of weeks ago I asked the ministerial staff to tell why they appreciate Pastor in tonight's service. We had special singing of a lot of the older songs that Pastor loves to sing.

Some of the ministry had us laughing with their early memories of Pastor and some of his favorite sayings. We had a great time in the Lord worshiping and giving honor to whom honor is due.

So I would like to just share my thoughts with you that I shared with the church tonight.

"Pastor Wayne Trout in all of your years of being involved ministry and the many ministers that you have worked with as they began to fulfill their calling of God. You have given them the charges that Paul gave to Timothy his student in ministry as recorded in I & II Timothy some of them are:
1 Timothy 1:3 I charge that you teach no other doctrine,
1 Timothy 1:18I charge that thou mightest war a good warfare;
1 Timothy 5:7I charge that you may be blameless.
1 Timothy 5:21I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
1 Timothy 6:13 I charge in the sight of God, that thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1 Timothy 6:17I Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
2 Timothy 4:1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

Pastor these charges you have delivered to every minister that you have ordained over the years that you have been involved in ministry. What I as a fourth generation Pentecostal appreciate most about you, is that you still believe, act, and live, as a Godly example for us and the next generation to follow. Thank you pastor we love and appreciate you."

Hello!

I am still alive and well! At least according to my doctor visit last Saturday! He said my blood pressure was good, heart rate was good etc.. LOL!!

I have been extremely busy with my new job which I thank God for every day. I am no longer working outside but instead I am a trainer in various areas of safety and construction! I started about 1 month ago and we are busy learning the material/curriculum and teaching classes.

We have already completed the OSHA 500 class which authorizes us to teach the OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 hour class that many companies are requiring their employees to go through.

While I was there I also took the OSHA 7600 classes which authorizes me as a trainer and site worker at disaster sites.

I hope to do a little better on my blog!

Church info and what God is doing in other areas on my next blog!

Happy New Year!

We are wishing all a Happy New Year!

We are in Florida enjoying a late Christmas with my folks. So we have been out in the boat and enjoyed the great views and sun. We have also enjoyed my mom's and sister's cooking. It has been good to relax with the family.

My prayer for each of you that read my blog is that you let God lead you and bless you this year. Don't get caught "following the crowd", but walk with God and keep Calvary in sight all the time.

2009 is mine to shine for Christ. It is my prayer to let His light and love shine through me in every situation.

May God bless you and your family.
