The Greatest miracle God robed him-self in flesh and lived and died so that he could save you and me from sin. He can take a life wrecked by sin and make it beautiful!! With God all things are possible!!
Let us look at Peter in the Bible in case some one is thinking that can’t really happen!
Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
Matthew 10 Matthew listed Peter first among the Disciples
Matthew 14 Peter walked on the water
Matthew 16:16 Peter received the Revelation of Christ "He said Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God".
Matthew 16:18 Jesus said, I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock or revelation I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Later Jesus was talking about his crucifixion- Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
Matthew 16:23 4 verses later after Praising Peter, Jesus turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
Matthew 18:21 Peter made mistakes but he accepted God’s forgiving power and came back to find out more!! Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times?
Matthew 26:33 Peter answered and said unto him, though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.
Matthew 26:35 Peter said unto him, though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
Matthew 26:37 Jesus took Peter to Gethsemane to pray
Matthew 26:58 But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.
Matthew 26:69 Peter’s denial of Christ, 3 times- Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
Matthew 26:73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech betrayeth thee, Peter denied it with a curse Verse 75: And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
He was human and sometimes we make commitments that we don’t keep, but God is faithful and just to forgive all we have to do is ask and believe in Him. After we ask for forgiveness, then by faith simply begin to worship Him and he will fill you and refill you with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance!!
Acts 1:15 Peter was in the upper room with the 120
Acts 2:14 Peter preached the first message of Pentecost- But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you and your children and to all those afar off even as many as the Lord our God shall call!!
Peter’s Miracles
Acts 3:1 Peter and John pray for the lame man at the gate of the Temple
Acts 3:4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Acts 5:15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
Peter went from a fisherman to a fisher of men.

Jesus Gives Second Chances ... Part II
Let me tell you about Billy- His sister came to me and said Kevin if you can help him the family would appreciate it. I OK'd it with Pastor O. R. Fauss and we accepted the challenge. He was 16 when he came to our church school in Houston.
He was on his way to Juvenile Rehab School for his alcohol dependency and truancy. We worked with him and got him up to speed in school. He was our pitcher for our baseball team and throwing around 90 mph in High School.
He got baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. I later learned that he had married a girl in the church and had children . Then I heard that Billy the outcast of a young teenager was now the Bus Minister over the Bus Captains for the church. He became very involved in Sunday School in the district. Then the other day he called to wish me Happy New Year and he owns a very successful plumbing business in Houston.
The Greatest miracle God robed him-self in flesh and lived and died so that he could save you and me from sin. He can take a life wrecked by sin and make it beautiful!! With God all things are possible!!
I have an awesome update coming up on my volunteer work! It is amazing what God is doing in such a short time! I told the church a little about it last night and we rejoiced and worshipped God!

Rebellion Part I
1 Samuel 15:22-24 (King James Version)
22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.
Let me just share a few thoughts with you today on these verses. In I Sam 15:22 the question is asked in our terms today. Is the Lord as happy when we give sacrifices and offerings versus our obeying his word? The answer is No! No amount of sacrifices (even the fat of rams) is better than obedience. In other words you can’t give $5 or $50,000 in an offering and think that gives you a right to sow disunity or discord among the brethren or in the church because you did not get your way on new carpet in the church or new paint color etc...
The next verse gets down to the nitty-gritty and says rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Wow! That is a tough statement. Witchcraft has always been considered a “big/bad” sin. But to say that rebellion is as bad sheds a new light on how Jesus looks at our attitudes. He counts our attitude as very important. How we act and how we treat each otheris big in God's eyes. Plus as the last part of the verse shows when you let one spirit go unchecked then it opens the door for other spirits to come in your heart
When I was a little fellow growing up in Mendota CA., I can remember “pitching a fit”. I was on the floor in the hallway and yelling and kicking my feet. My “fit” did not last long because my mom got a hold of me and gave me a good whipping. I was told that this attitude was wrong and that Jesus didn’t like little boys to act this way. Later in life I looked at little kids that “pitched a fit” and thought they are such babies, they need some good old home training.
Unfortunately a lot of kids were never taught correctly and they rebelled or pitched a fit even when they got older. I remember working with some young people that pitched a fit. Just as I started to say something to them I remembered that their folks had pitched a fit a few days earlier. So I told them that their attitude was not right. They were being disrespectful to leadership in this case. I told them that if their parents were alcoholics that they did not have to be alcoholics. I also told them that just because they did it at home or that their parents did it didn’t make it right.
I was able to open their eyes in such away as to keep their trust and their parents trust even to this day. If you don’t make the captain of the team become a good team player. But don’t show an attitude that is not Christ like!
The last part of that verse 23 says that sometimes we reject some of God’s word and that we are rewarded accordingly. God can see your heart that is why the psalmist prayed in: Psalm 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. He knew that God knew his heart and the very intents of his doings. So he wanted God to show him where he was wrong.
Verse 24 goes even further and Saul admits he was wrong for his actions and attitudes. But he said I listened to the voice of the people. In other words he wanted to be popular with a group of people so he went their way and totally disregarded the ways and laws of God. Theses are signs of the end-times as recorded in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (King James Version):
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
They will be afraid of losing friends and popularity so they come up with new laws and rules. In disregard what God says and in trying to bring themselves up to some special “new” expectations they turn from the truth and shall be turned into fables.
You say how do I guard my heart? How do I check myself? For example if you find yourself at odds with the pastor or those in leadership over you. You need to be very careful as to what you do and what you say. After praying and getting a hold of God, Go to that leader and try to get an understanding as to what God’s wants to accomplish in your life at that time. Some people pray and say God if you don’t do such and such then I am going to wreck my car. I am sorry God does not work that way and his ways are above our ways.
Sometimes we try to open the rose by ourselves and forget to wait on God’s timing.
